Brew Love, Do Good – Creating Moments that Matter

We are taking a company wide effort to take action and make a difference in our community through volunteer work. This initiative is not limited to full time employees, or even just all employees – we want to engage our community in this effort, so friends, family, regulars, and industry folks are absolutely encouraged to join!

BECAUSE ONE MATTERS ORGANIZING SUPPORT

When: Saturday, August 19th, 2023

Where: Snapbox Self Storage at 5065 Sugarloaf Parkway Lawrenceville, GA (Behind Quik Trip)

Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm

What we will be doing: Sorting and organizing clothes for their “Wrapped In Love Closet” shop for foster children..

What to wear: Dress comfortably; We will be indoors

GWINNETT CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL ADOPT-A-ROAD CLEANUP

When: Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 & February 4th, 2023; August 12th, 2023

Where:  Maltbie Street at North Perry Street in Lawrenceville, GA ; Meet at the far side of parking lot across from Slow Pour

Time:  2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

What we will be doing: Roadside cleanup along Maltie Street across from Slow Pour, then walk up the driveway to enjoy beer at the brewery

What to bring:  Trash grabber stick, if you have one

What to wear:  It might be cold, dress warm, we’ll be outside

LAWRENCEVILLE COOPERATIVE MINISTRY FOOD BANK

When: Saturday, September 10th, 2022 & February 25th, 2023 & March 25th, 2023 & July 29, 2023

Time: 10:00am-11:30am

What we will be doing: Sort and prepare food for boxing and distribution the following week; Cleaning shelves to keep warehouse clean for food storage.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes

What to bring: A good attitude

STREETWISE GEORGIA FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION

When: Saturday, January 14th, 2023 & March 11th, 2023 & April 8th, 2023, & July 8th, 2023

Where: Streetwise Georgia

Address:  1770 Cedars Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30045 ; Meet in parking lot in front

Time:  9:00 am – 12:30 pm

What we will be doing: Drive up Food Pantry Distribution to needy of Lawrenceville

What to wear: Dress warm, we’ll be outside handing out food

FAMILY PROMISE OF GWINNETT BED RACE FUNDRAISER

When: Saturday, April 22nd, 2023

Where: Lawrenceville Town Square

Time:  9:00 am – 1:00 pm

What we will be doing: see groups below

Group A: Help Family Promise on conducting their race event with registration, crowd control etc.

Group B: Field a Bed for Slow Pour, to include bed building and fundraising.  You will be contacted with details..

GWINETT CREATIVE ENTERPRISES GREENHOUSE PREP 

When: Saturday, April 1st, 2023

Where: Creative Enterprises – Gwinnett Campus

Address: 702 Hi Hope Road, Lawrenceville 30046 ; Meet in the greenhouse next to the building.

Time:  10:00 am – 2:00 pm

What we will be doing: Helping to get the greenhouse operation ready for their spring plant fundraiser.

What to wear: We’ll be outside, getting dirty so gardening clothes and work gloves.

Slow Pour will be helping with their greenhouse, which is one of their fund-raising operations.

VILLAGE OF HOPE “CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA”

When:   Thursday December 15th, 2022 (Setup) & Saturday December 17th, 2022  (Extravaganza)

Where: Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church

Address: 395 W Crogan St, Lawrenceville, GA 30046

Shifts: Setup (12:00-3:00 and 3:00-6:00) & Extravaganza (9:00-2:00 and 1:00-6:00)

Total Volunteers Needed: 30+

What we will be doing: Set up the gym & help distribute gifts

VILLAGE OF HOPE “FUN RUN” FUNDRAISER

When: Saturday, October 29th, 2022

Where: Tribble Mill Park

Volunteers needed in Registration:  3 volunteers   

  – Registration volunteers time from 6:45 to 8:15 AM

Volunteers needed at Water Stations: 5 volunteers

  – Water Station volunteers time from 7:30 to 9:30 AM

What we will be doing: Set up, Sign-in, Crowd control, Cleanup

What to wear: Comfortable lightweight clothes, comfortable walking shoes

YMCA COMMUNITY GARDEN

When: Saturday, August 13th, 2022

Address: 2985 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045

Shifts: 8am-10:30am; 10:30am-1pm

Total Volunteers Needed: 16 total; 8 for each shift

What we will be doing: Preparing the garden for it’s grand opening

What to wear: Comfortable lightweight “gardening” clothes, closed toed shoes

What to bring: Sunscreen, water bottle, gardening gloves if you have any
